Hello Landfall Residents,

We hope this email finds you all enjoying your fall season. As we move closer to Halloween, we thought it best to provide a follow up to our previous communication.

As this pandemic continues and with North Carolina’s COVID-19 trends moving in the wrong direction, related to hospitalizations and trajectory of increasing cases, Governor Roy Cooper extended Phase 3 for three more weeks; therefore, continuing the limitations and restrictions related to mass gatherings. We regret to inform you that as a result, Halloween night in the Harborway and Turnberry area cannot continue as it has in years past. Historically, this area anticipates several hundreds of adults and children that evening, which is prohibited in our current environment.

Many of the residents living in the area that normally greet your ghosts and goblins are disappointed that they will not see the creative costumes and warm smiles this year. These residents also appreciate and respect the fact that gatherings of this nature, while prohibited, are also simply too risky during this uncertain time.

So with that being said, please be mindful of the Governor’s orders and respectful of everyone in our community as you make your plans this weekend. Understand that we all regret that our children will not be able to have a traditional Halloween, but sometimes the best choice is the safe choice. The safety of our residents, guests and staff must be paramount, as always, but particularly in times like these.

We appreciate your understanding and support,

Your Landfall COA
