Information from the Task Force

At the last City Council meeting on March 20th, the decision on the ordinance amending the “land development code” to allow buildings for property in an  Urban Mixed Use District associated with a development agreement to reach seventy-five (75) feet in height in lieu of a special use permit was continued until the next meeting on Tuesday, April 3.  The reason for the continuance was to give city staff more time to finalize the draft which is to include more involvement from the public during the development agreement process.

Additionally, the Planning Commission website has just added a new section that includes current development applications and other related documents for public review and can be found by clicking here.

As always we encourage our residents to stay informed and connected to various public events.  You may contact the Wilmington City Council by email at council@wilmingtonnc.gov.

Please don’t forget to please attend the Landfall COA Annual Meeting, to be held tonight, at 6:00pm. The COA will provide you with a summary of the latest information the task force has with regard to the Eastwood Rd. and Military Cutoff intersection, as well as, the surrounding developments.
