Dear Landfall Residents,

The recent Sidewalk Survey closed on July 11, and the results have been compiled. While we hoped for an even higher percentage of properties represented, we are pleased to announce that we received the highest community participation rate of any survey ever conducted by the Council. We received responses representing 1,227 properties within Landfall for a total of 61% of our total properties represented.

This survey was not a formal “vote” on the topic of sidewalks. This survey was conducted as an avenue to provide the COA Board a sense of the community’s position on installing additional sidewalks in the road right-of-way along Arboretum Drive and Pembroke Jones Drive, if there is adequate funding to do so over the next several years.

The following is a synopsis of the responses collected as a result of the sidewalk survey:

  • Of the 1,220 properties that responded to the question, “Given the preceding information, would you be in favor of pursuing this multi-year phased sidewalk installation project?” 69% responded YES and 31% responded NO.
  • Of the 204 properties that run along Arboretum Drive and Pembroke Jones Drive, 119 properties responded. This represents 58% of the 204 properties. When those residents were asked “Are you in favor of the installation, if you own property that may require the new installation of a section of sidewalk?” 67% responded YES and 33% responded NO.

The complete results of the Sidewalk Survey will be shared at the COA Annual Informational Meeting to be held on July 27th at 6pm in the Country Club of Landfall Ballroom. Following the Annual Informational Meeting, the Sidewalk Survey results will be available for your review on the Resident Portal portion of our website.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this important survey. The COA Board of Directors values your input and support in leading the Landfall community. We look forward to seeing you on the 27th!

Your Landfall COA
