Public and private educational opportunities

In addition to Wilmington’s public high schools, middle schools and elementary schools, private educational institutions include Friends School of Wilmington, The Lyceum Academy, Cape Fear Academy, Wilmington Christian Academy, Wilmington Arts and Science, and Isaac Bear Early College High School.

Landfall residents especially enjoy having the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) practically in their back yard. Ranked as one of the top public regional undergraduate universities in the South by US News and World Report, UNCW offers year-round education at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, plus cultural and athletic events. Numerous Landfall residents actively teach in the UNCW Cameron School of Business and many Landfall residents mentor students there.

Cape Fear Community College offers a wide range of technical courses in a 2- or 4-year program. Other community and technical colleges located nearby include Miller-Motte, Mount Olive, and Brunswick Community College.
