Dear Landfall Residents,

As of April 29, 2020 at 5:00 p.m., New Hanover County is lifting the local restrictions placed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This action does not release us from our obligation to comply with the North Carolina Governor’s Executive Order No. 135, which will remain in force through May 8, 2020. This does, however, enable the Landfall COA to take the first steps toward normalcy by allowing limited access to the Drysdale Recreation Site.

The COA Board has agreed to a soft opening, for Residents Only, allowing the area to be used for family picnics, exercise, walking or just general recreation to enjoy the great outdoors. Guests will not be permitted at the facility. This opening will not include any team sports activities such as basketball, volleyball or soccer at this time. Additionally, the recreation facility restrooms, as well as the playground equipment, will remain closed until further notice. According to the government order, these areas may promote the increased spread of COVID-19, and therefore, in the best interest of all will remain closed.

This order still limits everyone to groups of 10 or fewer people while requiring safe social distancing of no less than 6 feet with anyone outside of your household. Landfall COA and Security staff will be monitoring this area on a routine basis, and in the event that social distancing is not being complied with, we will be forced to close the recreation site and playground area until all government orders are lifted.

Maintenance services to the common areas, associations and individual homeowners will continue as timely as possible. Our team is up and running at about 90% capacity, so where you may experience slight delays related to certain services, we are providing our essential services and keeping Landfall beautiful.
