Hello Landfall Residents,

I wanted to extend a Safety Reminder due to the extremely dry conditions that we are currently experiencing in the Wilmington area.

SAFETY ALERT
Dry Weather Conditions in the Wilmington, NC area

As you may have already heard, due to the extremely dry weather conditions, a small fire was experienced on the Country Club of Landfall's (CCL) Pines #7 course on Sunday, April 12th. This fire was likely caused by a discarded cigarette or cigar. Due to the quick response from a Landfall resident, CCL members and Staff, Landfall Security and Staff, as well as the Wilmington Fire Department (WFD), the fire was quickly contained.

Contact 911 and Landfall Security

As a result of these conditions, we would ask that you exercise additional caution on the Nature Trails, the CCL courses, other Shared Common Areas (SCA) green space and your personal property. We would also ask that smoking on the Nature Trails be avoided and any potential fire hazards be disposed of properly and completely. In case of emergency, please contact:

911 - For Immediate assistance from WFD
Landfall Security - (910) 256-5311
Landfall COA Reception - (910) 256-7651
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in helping us maintain the safety of our community.

	Hello Landfall Residents!

As you may be aware, the Drysdale Drive widening project’s second phase was restarted on Monday, October 27th. With the number of contractors and large heavy equipment in the work zone, this area has become hazardous to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Additionally, this project has required all utilities to the guardhouse, barrier arms and swing gates to be disconnected. Therefore, the Drysdale Security Gate will be CLOSED, to ALL incoming and outgoing traffic, from Friday, October 31, 2025, through Friday, November 21, 2025.

This construction project is very complex and involves removing aged infrastructure that has been in place for many years. In doing so we have encountered plastic clay underneath the road’s surface in the construction area which has caused the road to settle, with the current level of traffic, and become very uneven. This has resulted in the Contractor removing a larger section of roadway than anticipated, and requiring Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) to ensure that the road will be secure for many years to come.

During this closure, we ask that you use either the Arboretum Security Gate off of Military Cutoff Road and/or the Eastwood Security Gate off of Eastwood Road entrances and exits. In addition, please ask any of your contractors or vendors to utilize the Arboretum Gate entrance and exit only during this time. If you are traveling near Drysdale Drive to visit the Recreation Site, the Landfall COA Office or the Country Club of Landfall (CCL) Sports Center during this time, please use caution and obey all traffic control measures.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this project may cause you, your guests, and/or your contractors. We are looking forward to having this important Landfall road and guardhouse improvement project completed as timely as possible.

Thank you for your understanding and support,

As Halloween quickly approaches we wanted to provide another final reminder about Authorizing your Guests into Landfall.

We are requesting that all non-owner Guests being authorized to enter the Landfall community on Friday, October 31, are registered on your owner guest list in gateaccess.net. To aid Landfall Security and to help ensure the safety of our community your pre-registration of your Guests is required. If you need assistance registering your Guests you may come by the Landfall COA Office and see one of our Receptionists, email your list to reception@landfall.org or call Security at (910) 256-5311. We will be happy to register your Guests on your gateaccess.net profile for you. The best way to expedite entry for the convenience of your Guests is to email or text them a QR code, so if you would like us to register your Guests then you may want to provide us an email or phone number.

Be reminded that per the Landfall Rules and Regulations, each Resident in Landfall and CCL Members are responsible for the conduct of your Guests and invitees while on Landfall property. This would include anyone that enters the community accompanying your authorized guest as well. If you will be providing treats, please make sure that your garage and porch lights are on. If you do not wish to participate, please keep your garage and porch lights off.
