Hello Landfall Residents,
I hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying all there is to do in our beautiful community! I would like to bring to your attention a few things we’ve noticed over the past few weeks that we’d like to address.
Fishing in Landfall
We have recently encountered a number of violations related to fishing in Landfall’s various lakes and ponds throughout the community, and would like to remind our residents of the Rules and Regulations on this topic. Any Personal Guest of a resident using the lakes, ponds, creeks and marshes must be accompanied by the host property owner. Fishing in Landfall’s COA retention ponds and lakes is for recreational purposes only and all fish caught must be released back into the retention pond or lake. Fishing is prohibited from the following areas: street paving, bulkheads, bridges and other owners’ private property. Parking is not permitted on or adjacent to the road rights-of-way or common areas for fishing.
Pet Rules in Landfall
Residents continue to enjoy long walks through the community with their pets, and while we encourage such activity we have recently noticed that much too often the dogs are not on a leash and the pet waste or pet waste bags are being left behind. Please keep in mind that all household pets, while not at their residence, must be on a leash accompanied by their owner or handler. Pet owners are responsible for clean up after their pets and must have the means to do so. Furthermore, please be aware that pet urine can damage certain types of grass and plantings, so be conscious of where your pet relieves themselves. When collecting your pet waste, be sure to dispose of it properly: either in a designated pet waste receptacle or at your residence. Please contact Landfall Security if you observe any pet violations or experience any other animal related concerns.
Drysdale Security Gate Unmanned Hours
Please be reminded and inform your guests and vendors that the Drysdale Security Gate closes each evening at 6:00pm and is closed all day on Sunday to vehicles that do not have an active barcode. Plan accordingly to use the Eastwood Gate or Arboretum Gate during these unmanned hours of operation. If you own a golf cart and have that golf cart registered with the Landfall COA, you may request the installation of a barcode on your cart. This may allow for additional convenience in providing you 24/7 access at Drysdale, as well as Eastwood and Arboretum.
Be reminded that to operate on Landfall roads, a golf cart must be “Street Legal” and must be plated, registered in NC, operated only by licensed drivers able to provide a valid ID, and display a Landfall ID sticker (barcode). All other motorized recreational vehicles, including but not limited to the following; golf carts, go-carts, dirt bikes, mini bikes, small engine stand up vehicles, electric scooters, skateboards, hover boards and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are prohibited on the roads, trails, and sidewalks of Landfall. On that note, you may have noticed the new signs at the entrance of Landfall’s Nature Trails reminding residents that E-Bikes and motorized recreational vehicles are prohibited.
Safety Practices Flyers
We have prepared and will be distributing some Best Safety Practices flyers to residents and guests regarding Motorists, Pedestrians, Bicyclist and E-Bicyclists safety. These safety flyers were provided to the Landfall COA’s Covenants & Security Committee and were approved for distribution. We hope that these flyers will help bring awareness and aid in a safer community for us all.
Let’s have a great summer! As always, your Landfall Security team appreciates your support and are here if you need us! Please do not hesitate to contact us anytime, 24/7 as needed at 910-256-5311.
