Dear Landfall Residents,

As we learn to adapt and thrive amidst these rather unprecedented times, please consider the following updates from your Council. In compliance with the recent executive orders from both the State of North Carolina https://files.nc.gov/governor/documents/files/EO121-Stay-at-Home-Order-3.pdf and New Hanover County https://health.nhcgov.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/3-28-2020_COVID-19_Prohibitions_Restrictions.pdf, and in the interest of adherence to the guidelines suggested for the safety and health of all, the Council is implementing the following changes until further notice:

As required by the New Hanover County orders, the playgrounds, sports fields, parks, and recreational facilities maintained by the Council at 1749 Drysdale Drive will be closed, as of tonight, March 30th at 5:00 p.m.

The walking trails maintained by the Council throughout the community will remain open, subject to the requirement that users abide by the social distancing practices required by law. Maintain 6 feet of separation from those outside of your household, and in all circumstances avoid gathering of more than 10 people.

The Council’s physical office will remain closed to residents, except with prior appointment. We will continue to be available to you by phone at (910) 256-7651and by email at coa@landfall.org. Please understand that our response time for all COA and ARC services may be slower than you are accustomed to, as we are limited in the number of staff who can be in the office at any given time.

Security will continue manning our gates and patrolling our streets. In the event staffing becomes limited due to an unforeseen circumstance house checks may be temporarily suspended, but we will notify you of any such changes should this unlikely situation become necessary. You may continue to contact Security as needed by calling (910) 256-5311.

IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911 FIRST!! You are always the priority to Landfall Security, and we will also respond as staffing permits, but 911 First Responders are equipped with the specific crisis training and personal protective safety equipment that these uncertain times may require. Therefore, don’t take unnecessary risks and make your first call to 911.

Landfall Operating Services will continue to operate within the parameters allowed by applicable law, and in a manner consistent with required social distancing practices. This means that our crews will be limited to one person per truck, and that staging and prep will be significantly restricted to keep 10 or fewer total people in our operations and management building. As a result, our capacity and responsiveness will be substantially more limited than you are accustomed to. Landfall Owners Services will now operate with a staff of seven, as opposed to our normal 80 staff members. Please be patient while we work through our customers’ needs with the more limited resources available to us. We can still be reached at 910-256-7604 to answer your questions or respond to emergencies.

We understand that the absence of certain landscaping services during this time may cause common areas and individual properties to become a little less manicured. Please know that as soon as this order is lifted, Landfall Maintenance will be back on property in full force and here to assist in any way that we can, under the guidelines permitted. We are in this together and will overcome it together.

Please utilize the COVID-19 resources provided on our website at www.landfall.org to access the latest Landfall News Alerts and links providing you with online COA services. Also, please note that all trash cans have been removed from COA common areas to reduce potential exposure, therefore, please plan accordingly.

Finally, please be reminded that the Country Club of Landfall (“CCL”) is a private club and establishes rules for its property’s access. CCL would like the following information disseminated to all Landfall residents. “Pursuant to the Rules and Regulations of the Country Club of Landfall, use of the cart paths during non-operating golf hours is for Members Only. Use of the cart paths or golf courses for jogging, bike riding, walking, or skating is not permitted on any course open for play.  Members may call the pro shops for hours of non-play. The Club accepts no responsibility for any injury that might occur to anyone recreating on Club property.”

We will keep the lines of communications open and continue to update you as information becomes available.

 Best Always

Landfall COA
