Volunteer Opportunities

There are many opportunities to become involved in volunteer activities within Landfall and in the greater Wilmington area.

The Landfall Foundation provides funds to local nonprofit organizations for programs and projects that provide for the Arts, Education, and Health and Welfare in the greater Wilmington area.

The Landfall Tradition Collegiate Golf Tournament was created as a means to support the golf program at UNCW and has become one of the most popular tournaments of the Fall college golf season.

The Coastal Classic Celebrity Golf Tournament is a premier charity golf event held each spring.  All proceeds benefit the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

In 2007, the Landfall Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was formed to respond to unexpected events in Landfall, and consists of homeowners trained in the basics of first aid, fire suppression, light search and rescue, terrorism consequences, and psychology of disaster.

A large number of Landfall residents enjoy volunteering for greater Wilmington area charities such as The Historic Society, Good Shepard Soup Kitchen, The Children’s Museum, Pink Ribbon, Guardian Ad Litum, English as a Second Language tutors, after school tutoring, Airlie Garden and the Arboretum--to name a few.
