The Dye Course

Pete Dye has created a superb 18-hole championship facility for Country Club of Landfall members.

The par-72, 18-hole layout features five sets of tee placements, ranging from 4,844 yards to 6,997 yards. These varied placements allow professionals and long-hitting amateurs to share their golfing experience with higher handicap golfers. Alice Dye, the only female member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, directed the placement of the red and silver tees, giving lady golfers comparable shot opportunities.

The Dye course, Landfall’s original golf course, was completed in 1987. Characteristic of Mr. Dye’s signature styling, the course consists of rolling hills and undulating fairways, framing picturesque shots into challenging greens guarded by white sand bunkers and fresh water ponds.

When asked about the Landfall course, Pete Dye said, “Landfall was my first opportunity to work with the sandy soil and gently rolling topography of the Carolinas. I hope the Landfall course is as much a pleasure to play as it was for me to design and build.”

The Dye course facilities include a Pro Shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a complete practice facility, an indoor/outdoor snack bar, and a clubhouse.
