Shopping & Dining
As Wilmington continues to grow and attract new residents, it seems as if every week a new restaurant, shopping center, or store opens up to service them.
Most recently, Mayfaire Town Center opened across the street from Landfall with over 50 stores currently open and more coming. Anchor retailers include Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, The Sharper Image, The Fresh Market, Harris Teeter, and Barnes & Noble; not to mention a 16-theatre cinema draws people daily to the promenade style shopping center.
Landfall is surrounded by great shopping centers filled with exceptional restaurants and stores, including The Forum, Landfall Center, Lumina Station, Plaza East, and The Galleria.
Restaurant choices include seafood, steak-house, pub, tapas, continental, southern, French, Italian, Greek, Mexican, Chinese, Thai; and everything from beach casual to dressy. There are three Harris Teeter grocery stores, two Food Lions, The Fresh Market and Lovey's Health Food store all less than five minutes from Landfall’s gates.A little further down the road, downtown Wilmington is dotted with antique stores and art galleries, intermixed with an eclectic choice of cafés and bistros along city streets or on the Cape Fear River boardwalk.
